Parsley seeds
Fights impurities and keeps the skin clean throughout the day. When the parsley has flowered, it forms small seeds with a fantastic oil, which we can gently extract by steam distillation. Petroselinum Crispum Oil: The name comes from the Greek word petros, which means stone, as parsley naturally grows in stony terrain. The oil contains myristicin, apiole, tetramethoxyally benzene and pinene, which has the following amazing properties for your skin:

Strong antimicrobial action, which means it helps eliminate impurities and the growth of microbes and bacteria.
The oil is astringent, which means that it contracts the skin and pores and strengthens the skin's barrier function.
Strongly antiseptic, which means that it fights inflammation and reduces the pollution and cell damage that we experience throughout a normal day (oxidative stress).
The oil is light yellow to colorless with a very special scent, which you can also experience in the cream.

Saltwort
Natural and effective moisturizer that smoothes the skin. Saltwort (or Kveller as it is also called) is a plant that can retain moisture like no other. It is almost natural hyaluronic. Even during the hottest summers, saltwort can retain moisture and minerals.

Its scientific name is Salicornia Europaea. You can almost hear that this herb grows on the salty coastline, and if you eat it, you will also be able to taste salt and soda. In addition to the moisture-binding property, it contains large amounts of soda, salts, minerals, amino acids and peptides, which, when we make it into an extract, become a gift for dry or impure skin.

The combination of moisture and baking soda is fantastic in the fight against dry, scarred or impure skin. Together, they will not only dissolve dead skin cells, but also reduce inflammation. It's too strong for rosacea, but great for acne, blackheads or pimples. Latest scientific trials published on 7 May 2020 show that saltwort extract not only binds moisture to the skin, but also increases the skin's resistance to oxidative stress/cell damage, and increases the rebuilding and regeneration of skin damage.

Pray
Binds moisture with immediate and long-lasting effect. Beta Vulgaris grows wild everywhere in Denmark, and the most widespread is the wild-growing beach beet, which is the one I use. You probably know a few beet types yourself, such as beetroot, beetroot or sugar beet.

New standards have been set for cellular extractions, which means that today we can extract water-soluble extract from beach beds, which is a source of Lysine Amino Acid. Studies show that lysine not only helps against the inflammation you experience with acne, but also contributes to increased collagen structure, which will give you more elasticity and firmness in the skin.

But, but, but... Ohhh the wonderful moisture. Beta Vulgaris Root Extract increases the concentration of NMFs (natural moisturizing factors). It therefore binds and increases the skin's own moisture balance. In a test cream, 1% beed extract was added. After application, the test subjects' skin was measured every two hours using a corneometer, and it was found to maintain an increased level of hydration for over 8 hours on the test subjects who had been given beed extract in their cream and not a placebo.

Mulberry
Protective antioxidant against daily pollution. Mulberry is an 8-15 cm tall, herbaceous plant that mainly grows in raised bogs. Most people have probably forgotten it and the effect of the kernels. We have otherwise used it all the way back from before the Viking Age.

The kernels are very small, but contain a fantastic potency of especially Alpha Linolenic Acid and Gamma Linolenic Acid, which you may know better as Omega-3 and Omega-6 (GLA). Disruption of skin barrier function caused by epidermal hyperproliferation results in the skin becoming dry and showing high transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) is reportedly effective in the treatment of TEWL and epidermal hyperproliferation. Or in more edible Danish: These fatty acids strengthen your skin's protective barrier, while you are left with a deep, long-lasting hydration of dry skin. Omega 3 and 6 can retain moisture through even the harshest winter weather conditions – the berry itself can withstand frost down to -20 degrees.

The mulberry kernels have a high nutritional content of ellagic acid in particular. Ellagic acid is a polyphenol that is effective in treating wrinkles and inflammation. A study of the effects of ellagic acid showed that it was effective in protecting collagen from degradation, and was found to decrease inflammatory responses in dry skin to UV radiation damage.

Rubus Chamaemorus Oil also has several of the delicious E vitamins, both of which can penetrate the skin and increase the collagen level as well as ensure optimal regeneration of the damage that the skin receives during a normal day (oxidative stress). This means that those of us with dry, damaged or impure skin get help for reconstruction without scar tissue and damage.

Vitamin B3
Soothes the skin and prevents redness. Nicotinamide is a special water-soluble B₃-Vitamin, namely an amide (also called niacinamide). We find the largest content in the oldest rye varieties such as swedjer rye, which have been cultivated in the north since the year 0.

The B3 vitamin is tolerated by all skin types, and it helps the example and irritated skin to be able to tolerate other auxiliary ingredients. It is therefore good for all skin types and especially in the fight against atopic skin, eczema, rosacea or perioral dermatitis.

Nicotinamide helps repair damaged DNA and reduce the immunosuppressive effects of sun-induced UV rays – the so-called oxidative stress factors. Put in Danish, B3 helps against the breakdown of your skin and premature signs of aging such as discoloration and wrinkles. Research has not come to a full understanding of how this B vitamin shrinks pores, but it does.

SPF 30
Protection against cell degradation is not insignificant, and the greatest damage comes from the sun's rays. That is why I have of course added SPF30 to your new Face Cream, so that you no longer have to think about your skin's protection.

I have chosen a combination based on the following parameters:

They are all free of hormone-disrupting substances and they are all approved and supported by the Swan label, Asthma Allergy Nordic and AllergyCertified.
I have opted out of physical sun filters, as in an SPF30 they will leave a white film on the skin and the physical nanofilters are not approved by Ecocert COSMOS.
I have chosen the most gentle in terms of protection, health, your skin and our environment.
Chemical sunscreens contain substances that penetrate the upper layer of the skin. When the UV rays hit the skin, the filter absorbs the UV radiation so that it does not reach the lower skin layers and cause damage. The chemical sun filters cannot be seen on the skin and therefore act as an invisible protection.
